Due to COVID-19 Pike Market Food Bank is currently only accepting individual volunteers on a limited, as-needed basis. We are not accepting groups of volunteers or one-time volunteering in order to best maintain and track the health of our staff, volunteers and clients. For questions or inquiries about volunteer openings, please email the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteers@pmsc-dtfb.org.
Last year, volunteers served nearly 22,000 hours at the Food Bank and helped distribute more than 950,000 pounds of food. Come in on your own or with friends or co-workers; we’d love to have your help working to end hunger in downtown Seattle.
Volunteer opportunities include preparing the distribution line and assisting shoppers with food, organizing our warehouse, collecting donated food from Market vendors and farmers markets, and delivering groceries to our homebound shoppers. So please wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes when you come in!
